About MISL

Mobile Integrated Solutions Laboratory (MISL) is an applied research facility that is housed in the Electronic Systems Engineering Technology Program at Texas A&M University.  The lab supports undergraduate experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom and educational laboratory and is focused on design and development of space-based products and systems and in ground-based robotics for research, education and STEM outreach.  MISL researchers have been sponsored by large companies such as Texas Instruments and National Instruments, public-sector organizations like NASA, and small startup companies such as Texas Space Technology, Applications, and Research and the Center for Advancement of Science in Space.  MISL has an on-going partnership with the engineering division at NASA-JSC to develop and deploy the Modular Integrated Stackable Layer Architecture which is selection of rack-and-stack, space qualified printed circuit boards that are used in meeting the need for highly reconfigurable embedded hardware for harsh environments found in the space, automotive, oil & gas, and medical industries.  MISL routinely sponsors undergraduate capstone projects in Internet of Things, Autonomous Vehicles and Connected Vehicles.
